Self-funded health plans are insurance arrangements whereby an employer provides health or disability benefits to employees using the company’s own funds. When care costs are below the stop loss level, the
employer keeps 50% of the difference

employer keeps 50% of the difference.

• Once the budgeted costs are paid over a 12-month period,there
is no further financial obligation or terminal liability after the
contract period.
